Zoom Telephonics, Inc. designs, produces, markets and supports Motorola brand cable modems, routers, sensors and other Internet related devices under an exclusive worldwide license from Motorola. We are a public company offering a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Summary

Work in conjunction with VP of Sales to support business development and client retention. You will be the primary in-house sales contact for prospects and existing customers with the objective of closing inbound leads, expanding existing accounts, and qualifying leads for our outside salespeople.

Our products are consumer-focused Internet access products, and we sell under our licensed Motorola brand to large electronics retailers, cable and cell service providers, and resellers of cell modems and routers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arranges and coordinates schedules and appointments for account executive
  • Supports account executive’s efforts to generate and develop new business to meet specified production goals including but not limited to cold-calling and scheduling appointments; responsible for generating and developing new business in assigned areas
  • Supports account executive’s activities to maintain and nurture existing client relationships; responsible for specified existing clients in assigned areas
  • Functions as liaison between client companies, account executive, and operations staff
  • Prepares weekly, monthly and/or quarterly reports, tracking work as specified by manager
  • Organize and maintain file system
  • Participate in business/trade events that impact business unit
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of industry product information
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of local competition and of prevalent industry and business climate within the region
  • Promote company-endorsed programs and services within assigned territory
  • Negotiate contracts and work agreements, as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent
  • Experience with consumer electronics/technology products a plus!
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge required; CRM preferred
  • One to two years related experience or equivalent
