Zoom
Introduces Hayes PCI Modem
Boston,
MA, January 24, 2000 -- In keeping with its commitment
to provide Hayes customers with the latest technology, Zoom
(NASDAQ: ZOOM)
is now shipping its Hayes ACCURA V.90 PCI Modem. The Hayes
ACCURA V.90 Modem (Model #H08-03357) integrates popular features
of traditional Hayes modems with the most up-to-date V.90
technology. PCI modems currently represent the industry 's
highest volume category. "Zoom is committed to
expanding the Hayes brand and anticipates releasing new Hayes
modem, networking, and broadband products during 2000,"
said Terry Manning, Zoom's Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
The ACCURA PCI modem takes full advantage of the high
speed PCI bus architecture commonly found on today's fastest
computers and provides high quality voice mail and Class 1
fax. It includes V.80 capability for point-to-point video
and supports the H.323 and H.324 videoconferencing standards.
Zoom has also added its pioneering advanced lightning
protection to the Hayes ACCURA PCI. Since lightning is the
#1 cause of modem failure, this feature offers a major advantage
not only to consumers and businesses, but also to PC manufacturers
and system builders. Please visit the Hayes Web Site
at www.hayesmicro.com for more information, including detailed
technical specifications, on the entire Hayes product line.
